Do you constantly refresh your studio space?

Yes, it’s constantly changing. Stock tends to move quite quickly so there’s fresh vintage pieces coming in all the the time.

SHEARLING BIB

Are you ever tempted to hold onto finds? What’s the most memorable piece you’ve sourced?

Always! I tend to buy what I love and often find pieces that I’d like to hold onto. But, as with all businesses I have to sell them in the end. I’ve kept only a few things over the past 10 years: a couple of paintings and a mirror.

DARK NAVY ‘CIGARETTE’ TAILORED COAT

What’s a wardrobe staple for you?

In the summer a good black vest and a colourful skirt or shorts and in the winter high-waisted trousers. I like to dress up it up in the evenings, if I’m going out, with a dress. I like to pattern clash and I’ve got some great vintage pieces.

Is your wardrobe always changing or do you rely on hero pieces?

It changes a bit, I like to add a couple of new pieces each summer or autumn but I have some old favourites too.

SHOOTING STAR RUFFLE NECK SHIRT

What’s your favourite era of design?

I love the sixties and seventies for clothes and for furniture and design the 1930s and mid-century.

What’s the most timeless accessory?

A gold medallion on a long gold chain that my mum gave me, she wore it in the 1970s.

SHEARLING LONG VEST

Share your style secret with us?

A spritz of perfume. I can’t leave the house without it. I’ve been wearing Santal by Le Labo for 14 years.
