Mouli Gani is an architect and interior designer - she also happens to be a regular customer at DLux. We simply couldn't begin this series of interviews without including her. We popped over to ask Mouli some quickfire questions at home as well as to rummage through her wardrobe to see how she styles her DLux pieces.

What is home to you?
Whether it is being around the family watching an Arsenal match or tucked away in my study working on a project, batch cooking meals in the kitchen, or working out in the gym below - home is the anchor to my work, workouts and family life.

Does fashion influence your work?
Yes, it absolutely does - I absolutely go for colour, pattern and texture in my clothes and I am not afraid to use it in my interior projects.
I also love structured garments and similarly in interiors it is always nice to structure rooms to lead the eye to a focal point.

Are there parallels between fashion and architecture?
Yes definitely, the trends in fashion design do trickle down to interior design particularly - I am seeing a lot of burgundy for example in soft furnishings too.

What is your go-to DLux look?
I mean I seem to like everything Lynda designs - very greedy!
But if I had to pick one it would have to be the leather coullottes - they are so chic and comfortable. Worn with kitten heels in the summer and boots in the winter they are brilliant! I first bought the black and wore them so much that when Lynda launched them in tan this summer I had to get them. Told you I'm greedy!

Is there a colour that makes your heart sing and why?
It would be hard for me to choose one colour - really the clothes I pull out for the day reflect my mood and what I have going on so I can't pin it down to one.
I do love classic colour combos - sage and dusty pink, blue and raspberry red, pale blue and tan.

Which room in your house do you use the most?
I work from home, and finally after years of working from the dining table, I have my own study with beautiful large windows looking out to greenery - I park myself here most of the day!

Share your style secret with us?
The fun of popping into a Zara or Topshop from the olden days has long gone!
Truly, I treasure shopping abroad in independent shops when on holiday, and of course discovering independent British designers is true gold!
